Who We Are
Chipalo Energy is a community-driven initiative working to improve energy access in the Luwingu District of Zambia. Rooted in local effort and shared purpose, the project brings reliable, renewable power to homes and businesses - helping communities grow, connect, and thrive. By investing in sustainable energy, Chipalo Energy is building a brighter, more resilient future for the region.
We take our name from the Chipalo Chiefdom, the local community in the area. Under the guidance of Chief Chipalo, the project has been able to meaningfully engage local stakeholders - creating opportunities for feedback, participation, and employment. His leadership helps ensure the project remains grounded in the real needs and priorities of the people it serves.
